In Memoriam: Richard “Dick” Piltz

Richard "Dick" Piltz passed away at home on August 22, 2024.

Dick was born on October 2, 1938 in Minneapolis, Mn the son of Leo and Mildetta Piltz.  He grew up in Oshkosh, Wi then served in the U.S. Air Force.  Dick started his career in the Glass Industry before becoming an entrepreneur where he had founded several businesses, primarily Piltz Glass & Mirror and Five Star Plastics.  Dick was also very instrumental in several other Businesses and Board of Directors in/around the Eau Claire area including NWR Builders Exchange.

Dick is survived by his wife Mary-Lu Piltz, along with their (5) Children: Greg (Lisa) Piltz, Sue Piltz, Diann (Todd) Davis, Wayne (Kris) Piltz, and Steve (Dara) Piltz, 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grand Children.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place  on August 28 at St. James The Greater Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to St. James the Greater Catholic Church.
