In Memoriam: David Lindner, Sr. & David Lindner, Jr.
David John Lindner, Sr. passed peacefully at his home after a series of health problems on November 27, 2024. He declined rapidly after the death of his son in September.
Dave was born in Eau Claire on May 18, 1944. He attended Regis High School and the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. After graduating from St. Thomas, Dave married Carol (Knudtson) in Brackett, WI. Dave worked for International Harvester in IL before returning to Eau Claire to work in the family business Bark River Culvert & Equipment alongside his father and his grandfather, John Sr.
Dave and Carol were married for 57 years and were blessed with three talented and gifted children, David, who passed on September 12, 2024, Heather, and Kevin.
Dave will be greatly missed by his wife Carol (Knudtson), his daughter, Heather Beyer (Alan) and their sons; his son Kevin (Naweichi Temu) and their son. His only brother Joe Jr.. He is preceded in death by his son, David, his parents and parents-in-law & other relatives.
A service of remembrance was held at the Newman Center on UW-Eau Claire campus on December 14.

David John Lindner Jr., passed unexpectedly at his home on September 12, 2024 at the age of 56. David was born in Eau Claire on June 8, 1968. He attended Memorial High School and the University of Wisconsin – Stout graduating with a degree in finance. After graduation he spent some time working in Rochester, MN before returning to Eau Claire to work in the family business, Bark River Culvert and Equipment, with his father, Dave. Sr. He excelled in sales. He later owned Lindner Culvert Company.
David leaves behind his mother, Carol (Knudtson) Lindner; his sister and husband, Heather and Alan Beyer and their two sons; his brother and wife, Kevin and Naweichi and their son.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Jeanne Lindner and Oscar and Grace Knudtson.
